The Boys

The Boys

Wednesday, December 31, 2008

When we went to the gym Tay showed us all that he still has mad basketball skills. I had to post this picture! What a stud! His goal is to be able to dunk it when he is 40 so the boys will remember! Only 9 more to go:) That is so weird to say!
 Santa read Jayden's letter .

Merry Christmas!!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We sure did! It was so much fun this year because the kids really caught on to everything. Christmas Eve we had Mike, Cath, Payton, and Cade up and ate Fondue. It was sooo yummy. After that we decorated our traditional Christmas train out of boxes. My family has done that ever since I can remember and I still love doing it.  After we decorate our boxes we hang our stockings in them. Santa fills our boxes with presents and stuffs our stockings. Its so nice because after the crazy Christmas morning we just put all our stuff back in the train and its  all together. Taylor likes to tease me because I get so into it:) What can I say, I'm just a kid at heart when it comes to Christmas!
After that we let the kids open their PJ's then they were off to bed.  It was so cute, we tucked them in and then later went to check on them. Both of them were out of bed looking out the window. When Taylor asked them what they were doing they said they "were looking for Santa" It was so cute!
The next morning we opened presents, had a nice breakfast, and just lounged around. Later in the day we took them to the gym at Tay's work to ride their new bikes. We had too much snow to ride outside and they were dying to get on their new bikes.  Jayden got a yellow and blue one and Santa got Justice a "motorcycle" bike. Thats all he wanted, was a motorcylce!

Just a funny

Ok, I will update Christmas pictures soon. But I just have to tell a funny.  Jayden saw me getting dressed this morning  in my exercise clothes and he said to me, " mom why are you exercising, your still gonna be fat" I just laughed! I tried to explain that if I exercise while I am pregnant then my belly will go down faster after I have the baby. BTW, Jayden thinks my belly is huge. But he seriously has no idea what I am capable of when I am prego:) I still have a long ways to go! I love that kids will just say whatever the heck they are thinking! I wish sometimes I could just do that too!

Where has December gone? I am so behind with this whole blogging thing! We have been busy decorating for Christmas and all the things that come with this time of year. The boys are SO EXCITED for Santa to come! Kids just make Christmas the best! We went to the mall so they could sit on Santa's lap and they loved it. Justice told him he wanted a motorcycle, Jayden asked for a bike.  We didn't even have any tears this year! I think Jayden was a little nervous, but he couldn't let Justice out do him.
My parents bought a a brazley iron this year for Christmas and gave it to us early. So the Bowring tradition lives on! I love those stinkin things. I can't eat enough of those dang cookies. It was fun to make them. The house smells SO good!
I am now 15 weeks pregnant! Yeah! I am feeling so much better now and I am so thankful for that! My kids watched a few too many movies there for a while so I am trying to make up the lost time and do some fun things with them!! I think they are glad to have a mom again:)  My official due date is June 13th. So if the trend continues I might get a May baby. I am already so big. My belly is out there! What do ya do? I am praying for a little girl. I can hardley stand it.  We will be finding out what it is next month. I cant handle the surprise thing.
I will have lots to post this weekend. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Jaydenisms

OK, so here are some fun things about Jayden.

*He was due on November 28th, but he was born 3 weeks early! THANK YOU! His birthday is November 8th.

*Loves to sing (I am SO sick of hearing the star wars theme I could vomit!)

* Loves Indiana Jones and Star Wars.  He and His friends play "wars" everyday.

*We took Jayden to a Jazz game when he was  just 8 weeks old.  We had 4th row seats right down from the players wives. Mosha Kirelinko saw us and asked if she could hold him! We had dressed him in a Kerelinko jersey (which was huge on him) and spiked his hair. (he had a lot!)She thought that he was so cute. She was really nice and talked to us for a bit. We have a picture somewhere!

* Jayden can't quite say disapear yet, he says  it "dis be peared"

* When he was learning to talk he could say "hippopotamus" just fine, but he could not say "Octopus" He would call it a "hobitus"

* Taylor bought Jayden a Chocolate donut once because he went potty in the toilet. (chocolate are his favorite) and he sat at the table for 20 minutes  (not kidding, 20 Min.) just staring at it because he didn't want messy hands!! He is such a clean freak!

* When He was 2, Taylor coached girls basketball at Springville and he would just wait for dad to come home from work and take him to practice. I think he really payed attention because he would come home doing "defense" drills. It was so cute! He would bend down, slap the floor and say "denfence". THen he would slide across the floor saying "ball, ball, ball."

* When we were trying to potty train Jayden he kept peeing his pants. So finally I got after him. I told him he better stop peeing his pants, don't get me wrong, I was raising my voice at him. He walked away from me then turned around and said, "Be nice to me Mom!" I just busted up laughing.

*When he was 3 he said: "Are you serious?", "Oh, that makes sense"

* In Toys R Us the other day we were looking at toys and he said "Mom, come look at this, It is so Freakin Awesome!" There was a couple in the same isle just laughing at him.

* When he was about 3 1/2 he went up to a the consession stand at the games and asked for some french fries. He came back to us and said, "mom, they told me no!" I asked why because I had no clue what he was talking about. He told me that he had asked for fries and they told him no! He didn't have any money. How could they say no to such a cute, inocent kid?

* He once told Taylor that he wanted to live with Jesus because he had a basketball hoop at his house.

* Jayden has the best memory ever. He remembers everything you say or do! I have had to really work on my mouth. When he was 3 he came up to me and said, "mom, Justice is a little shit huh" He has also said, "Damnit Justice" I fully take the responsibility for those words, even though I feel that they were justified! Anyone that knows Justice, knows he is a handful:)

* The other Day we were talking about Christmas and Jayden said, "Mom, how can reindeer fly? That doesn't make any sense, they don't have wings, only legs" Thank goodness he believed the BS that I spit out real quick! Sometimes I think that he thinks about things too much. Your only five Jayden. Just believe what we tell you!

Jayden, we love you tons boy! We are glad you had a fun Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jayden

Wow, Our Jayden has turned 5! I seriously don't know how this happened so  fast. It seems like just yesterday that he came to our family.  He is such a tender hearted, sweet little guy. He loves his  little brother to pieces and makes sure that he is taken care of. He LOVES preschool and is anxious to learn. He loves sports of all kinds.  In fact, he came out of the womb lovin sports. When he was just a baby Taylor would put on a basketball game if he was fussy and he would calm right down!!! He spent many hours in the gym while I was coaching volleyball at Springville. He was always so good for me!! I would just bring his little walker and he would cruise all over the gym.
He has scared us more than a few times with his health. When he was one, he got a really high fever so we took him to the Dr. His heart rate was like 220 beats per minute. They couldn't even count it.  They told us that we could send him in the ambulance or go right to the ER. In the end we went to see a cardiologist and they told us he had svt. We were relieved to know that it wasn't life threatening and when his heart starting racing we just needed to hold him upside down!!
When he was 2 ( and Justice was 7 weeks old) He was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome and put in  Payson hospital for 3 days, then Primary Children's Hospital for 5 days. His little body was so swollen with  fluid that he had an extra 8 pounds of water on him! That's a lot for a two year old! He is doing well now, and still has relapses but,  thanks to his medicine we can keep it under control. He is such a special little guys. We love you so much Jayden!

"Justice-isms"

Here are some fun things about Justice!

Birthday: October 5, 2005
Favorite color: GREEN
Favorite toys: Motorcycle and cars
Favorite treat: Oreos and ice cream
Favorite Movies: Monster's Inc, Monster House and The Grinch

Justice is so full of life! He keeps us laughing daily.  He is a little dare devil that will try anything....it REALLY scares me! Anyone that knows Justice, knows that he always has something up his sleeve. He is such a tease. I think he gets it from Uncle Mike.
Here are some things Justice has said and done.

* Flooded our bathroom toilet with a WHOLE box of Q-tips. The plumber had a hard time getting it unclogged. We had hefty bill. Needless to say, the q-tips are now out of reach!

* Snuck out of the house stark naked (I was in the shower) and rode his bike up and down the street, waving to all the neighbors. When I went to go get him, he ran away from me.

* Flooded the downstairs bathroom with Jayden. It was so bad that I had water into the kitchen and under the fridge!!! URG!!!!!  I had to turn off the water so it would stop flowing. We have wood floors so I was in a panic.

* If there is mud (or food) anywhere, he will find it.  Regardless of who else is in it too, Justice manages to end up 10 times dirtier.  GUARANTEED.

*Rubbed the cream for his scars all over his entire face, arms, and legs.

* We got a phone call from a guy in CANADA and he said, " I  wanted to let you know that I just had quite the chat with your little one." Justice had been playing with the phone and dialed a real number......in Canada!! He was only 1 at the time! I think he made that sweet guys day. Enough that he thought he should call us back and let us know!

Justice Says:

"Oh ya baby!"

"Don't pick your nose"

"Sup G money"

" Are those your boobs? Can I touch them?"  (I guess at least he asked first right?)

" I need somfin"

" Jayden's being a baby huh"

" Nebecracker's coming!" (its off of monster house)

"Mom, get mad at me K" (how do I respond to that...seriously! You should have seen the look on his face. So mischevious)

We love you so much Justice!!!! You make our family so much fun!!  Happy Birthday!

The pumpkin walk aka cake walk!

Pin the nose on the pumpkin

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTICE

I am so slow posting the events of last week, I guess because it has been extra crazy around here! We celebrated Justice's 3rd Birthday on the 5th of October! I just can not believe my baby is three! Where did the time go? I decided to do the whole friend party thing this year and it was so CRAZY! Half the fun was the anticipation of  it all. We have an awesome neighborhood full of little boys (and a few girls.) We had 18 kids invited! Yeah, I said 18! Luckily a few were out of town so we had 10 that came.
The whole week before the party, Justice would ask, "Mom is my birthday party closed?" He was so excited he just could hardly stand it! So when friends started showing up on Saturday he said, " Mom my party is OPEN!" It was really fun that he caught on this year!  Cami, you inspired me to try my first birthday cake...... and well, you'll notice I am not posting a picture! I tried, what can I say.  Justice loved it though. We did a motorcycle bike track. I crushed oreos on the top for the dirt. ( Oreo's are Justices favorite!)  I  will have another shot at a cake next month when Jayden turns 5.  He wants a stars wars cake.....we'll see how that one goes.
I am going to post a few pictures from the big day. I also thought it would be cute to write some of the things that  Justice has said and done.

Jumpstart on Halloween!

I guess that Justice is really excited for halloween. I'm not sure if he is trying to be a ninja or a terrorist, but I couldn't stop laughing when I saw him. His shirt describes him to a tee.

Diamond Backs Game

Some more pics of the AZ trip......

Trip to Arizona

It has been so long since I have updated the blog that I have a ton to catch up on! The second week of September I went to Arizona with the kids and my family for my Uncle John's funeral.  (He wasn't even there, but we had a funeral anyways! He wanted to be cremated and his ex-wife took the ashes and didn't even bring them to the service. It was kind of funny!) Anyways the service was good. Lots of fun memories of Uncle John!
We stayed with Spencer and Maxi and their girls. We went shopping and to a Diamond Backs baseball game.  Jayden and Justice totally loved it! It was their first game. They keep talking about it and asking to go again.
They had a blast playing with their cousins. Uncle Spencer took us all on a cruise on his new motorcycle.  I am pretty sure that thing is twice his size! It is SO nice.  Even grandma Sonderegger took a ride! It was so cute! She absolutely loved it!!!
I will post a few pics from the trip. Taylor had to stay home and work, we all missed him tons.  I'm pretty sure he missed us too. Take a look at what I came home to. He is so SWEET!!!

SEVEN PEAKS

I can't believe summer is coming to a close! We have spent a ton of time at Seven peaks so I thought I would post some of our cute pictures.  Jayden has learned to swim pretty well and thinks he is a scuba diver. Justice has no fear of the water what so ever. He is a fish like his mom. He holds his breath and kicks. Its so cute! They love the kiddie pool, and so do I, I can just chill!

Olympic Fever

We have found ourselves staying up until 1 in the morning night after night, watching the Olympics! GO USA! Kind of crazy since we DO have Tevo! That is so not necessary. (you like that huh Ham!) Oh well, who needs sleep. It has been so much fun! I am getting in all the volleyball that I can since its not on a whole lot normally. I am getting all pumped up to repeat as a Spanish Fork city league champion again.  Ha ha. Taylor is hoping the games will hold him over until BYU football starts.  Then its a party at the Black's house every week. I love this time of year!

#1

So I'm a little embarrassed to even post this, but Jayden kicked my trash in a game of memory today.  That kid is so stinkin' smart, not to mention competitive! ( Gees, I wonder where he gets that from! Our kids so stand a fighting chance!) He was pretty proud. Good job you little champ!

Boys...boys.....boys

Last week I was watering our little piece of grass in the back yard and forgot to turn off the hose. It ran all night! Needless to say, we woke up to a muddy mess. It took about 2 minutes for Jayden and Justice and the neighbor boys to be all over in it (sorry Tara!) I don't know what they will do after we finally get a yard in. They  all LOVE to hunt daddy long legs and grasshoppers in the back yard. I know that I will have a much cleaner house though! I'm so sick of dirt!!!!!

New at this

Ok, so we are new at this, but since everyone is doing it we thought that we would succumb to the peer pressure.  (I am just glad that not everyone is using drugs, getting tatted up, or sacrificing cats).  Not a lot of news on our end.  Jayden is riding his bike without training wheels, Justice is doing a great job of taking a deuce in the toilet, Marci is still doing jewelry and being an awesome mom, and I am still working for JJS, and also a drug rehab for adults.  We go to Seven Peaks quite a bit and seen our share of large out of shape old women wearing bikini's.  Some sag so low you would think that they are playing hackey sac with their womanhoods.  There should be a law to buy bikini's and spandex, or at least someone should smack them upside their heads and make them stand in front of a mirror first.  Maybe they could make a law that they have to see Simon Cowell from American Idol first and let him pass judgement on whether they can go out in public with there suits.  Anyway, we are going to Blanding for the 4th, and we hope to see every one there.  Sorry for the retarded post, but if you got through it all then obviously you had nothing better to do.
